Wayne Straub

As President/CEO of Gyp-tec Drywall, Wayne brings over 24 yrs of experience in the construction field. Before starting his own company, Wayne gained 14 years of experience supervising and organizing projects and job sites of all sizes. Wayne has been a member of the Medicine Hat community all of his life and likes to believe he is doing his part to help the City reach its full potential. Wayne brings to Gyp-tec his abilities to multi-task, problem-solve and lead. He has big goals for his company and believes these goals will only be achievable with the help of his employees.
Ryan Kessler

Ryan is the General Manager/Estimator of Gyp-Tec Drywall and is one of the original employees of the company from its commencement in 2005. Ryan has over 13 years experience in the drywall industry and has had opportunity to gain experience and knowledge in nearly every aspect of the field (including but not limited to Drywall, steel-stud framing, demountable partitions, T-bar ceilings, etc). At Gyp-tec, Ryan's focus is the coordinating and efficiency of the day to day operations of the many divisions of Gyp-Tec as well as new project acquisitions. Ryan has lived in Medicine Hat for over 5 years and sees this community as his home.

Brenda Doucette

Supervisor of Thermal Protection and Quality Control as well handles the Safety Program.
Anybody in the construction industry knows how intense a job Quality and Safety control is and Brenda has taken on this role with her natural ability to tackle any challenge. She has an uncanny ability to build a team atmosphere and for this Gyp-Tec and its staff is grateful. Brenda also brings 7 years of experience in the insulation and vapor barrier fields to our customers.

Tiena Becic

Tiena is the newest member of Gyp-Tec Drywall Inc. Settling in as our new Office Manager she brings to the table a newly acclaimed diploma in computerized payroll accounting, along with 13 years experience in bookkeeping, customer service and Management skills. Although working in the construction environment has been new to Tiena she has caught on quickly and has become a huge asset to the company and the customers she deals with on a daily basis.
Rob Cheverie

Rob is the Paint & Coatings Specialist/Supervisor at Gyp-tec and he is a wealth of knowledge in his field. Rob has been in the industry for over 28 years and specializes in exterior and interior paint, wood staining and faux finishing. Rob oversees the painting division of Gyp-tec and works incredibly hard to ensure that all of his staff produce high quality work. Rob is always open to answering questions and offering guidance – his patience is a much appreciated quality.

Bill Kimber

As Senior Field Supervisor, Bill brings a wealth of knowledge with over 35 years experience in the construction industry. Bills specialties are drywall, taping and texturing however more and more of his time is now spent overseeing Gyp-tec's many multi-family development projects and various other drywall jobs throughout Medicine Hat. Bills ability to motivate staff and work hard have made his transition to a leadership role within Gyp-tec a much deserved and very natural move.

Sam Ferris

Sam is our Shop Foreman, and has been in Medicine Hat and in the construction industry for over 35 years. Sam contributed very heavily in the building of the New Texture Trailer operated it the first year and has trained the other staff on its operations. In part due to his commitment to this project and his dedication to the company, Sam will become Gyp-tec's Shop Foreman as they move into their new location on Kingsway. He will miss the texture trailer but looks forward to this move as an opportunity to contribute that much more to the smooth operations at Gyp-tec.
